To provide our core accountability and app-locking services, Literal must collect certain types of data.

A. Personal Information

Account Data: When you register, we collect your email address, display name, and authentication tokens (via Google Sign-In or other providers).
Keyholder Connections: Information regarding the "Ward" and "Keyholder" relationships you establish within the app.

B. Device and Usage Data

App Usage Statistics: We collect data on which applications you open, how long you use them, and your locked/unlocked status. This is strictly to enforce your quotas and generate accountability reports.
Device Information: We may collect non-identifiable device information (e.g., OS version, device model) for debugging and crash reporting.

C. Sensitive Permissions

Literal utilizes several sensitive Android permissions to function effectively:

1. Accessibility Services API

This service is required to detect which app is currently active on your screen so Literal can enforce app locks, block restricted content (e.g., Porn Addiction Mode), and track your usage quotas accurately. Screen text is scanned locally on your device and is never transmitted to our servers.

2. Query All Packages (Installed Apps)

Literal queries your device's installed applications to dynamically identify web browsers. This allows the app to effectively apply content filters across all browsers.

2. How We Use Your Information

Core Functionality: To lock apps, enforce quotas, and manage the Ward/Keyholder accountability system.
Notifications: To send push notifications regarding unlock requests, emergencies, and commitment failures.
Improvement: To analyze usage trends, fix bugs, and improve the App's performance.

3. How We Share Your Information

Your privacy is our priority. We do not sell your personal data.

We only share information with your Keyholder (if you attach one) and trusted service providers like Firebase and Google for core app features.

4. Data Deletion

You have the right to access, update, or delete your information at any time. You can request the complete deletion of your account and data by contacting us at literal.app.business@gmail.com.
